We have concluded our 4th National Economics Summit after days of thoughtful exchange, difficult questions, new perspectives, and a shared reflection on the direction of our economy and the future awaiting young people across the country.
This year’s conversations centred on reimagining innovative pathways for sustainable job creation and inclusive growth in a rapidly changing world.
From lecture halls to policy rooms, from industry perspectives to student-led discussions, one message remained consistent throughout the summit:
The future of economic leadership must become more inclusive, more practical, and more responsive to the realities facing young people today.
Economists, scholars, policymakers, private sector leaders, development partners, and students engaged openly on the opportunities for shaping modern economies.
There was recognition that sustainable growth cannot rest on aspiration alone. It must be supported by institutions that listen, partnerships that work, and policies that speak to the lived realities of citizens.
Since our first summit in 2023, KESA has continued to grow into a respected platform for economic thought, policy engagement, and youth leadership.
To all participants, speakers, guests, partners, and stakeholders who joined us, we extend our sincere appreciation. Your presence and willingness to engage strengthened the quality of the summit and the value of the conversations held.
We equally thank JKESA for hosting this year’s edition and for the commitment demonstrated in convening such an important national platform.
The discussions may have ended, but the responsibility that comes with them continues. The ideas shared, positions raised, and connections formed during the summit now carry an obligation for continued engagement, deeper collaboration, and practical action.
