Charity Nelima S. Biketi, a First Class Honours graduate in Economics from Multimedia University of Kenya, continues to make her mark as a young economist committed to leadership, research, and youth development.

At the university, Biketi demonstrated both academic strength and leadership focus. She graduated top of her class with a Bachelor of Science in Economics (First Class Honours) and has since pursued professional training in finance through the Certified Investment and Financial Analyst (CIFA) programme, completing the intermediate Level in Financial Management and Investment.

Her leadership journey took shape as Chairperson of the Multimedia University Economics Students Association (MMUESA), where she guided projects that encouraged student participation and academic collaboration.

Under her leadership, MMUESA co-hosted the National Economics Summit alongside the Economics Students Association of Kenya (KESA), drawing speakers and participants from academia, policy institutions, and the financial sector.

Biketi’s dedication to service earned her recognition as the KESA Female Delegate of the Year 2024/2025, an award that highlighte her contribution to student leadership and economic dialogue across the country.

Outside campus, she works with Liberty Sparks Academy Kenya, mentoring young people and promoting open discussions on economic freedom and growth.

She has also been part of research forums and mentorship programmes that inspire students to think critically and pursue purposeful careers.

Her interests include economic policy, finance, and development economics. She believes in resilience, learning, and purposeful leadership, principles that continue to guide her academic and professional journey.

"Grit, resilience and purpose, that’s the foundation upon which I build," she says.
