Over the years, KESA has championed the establishment of Business and Economics Clubs across universities in Kenya, while also supporting existing ones to become more consistent and impactful within their institutions.
Last week, we joined Meru University for the official launch of the Meru University Business and Economics Club (BEC).
Speaking at the event, KESA Programmes and Public Relations Director, Mark Gitau, commended the university on this milestone and reaffirmed our support for the newly established club.
“Establishing these clubs is not just about forming student groups,” he said. “It is about creating spaces where young economists can exchange ideas, build networks, and shape conversations that influence policy and development.”
"KESA will continue to work closely with universities to strengthen such clubs and make them ahead of the rest. This is how we inspire excellence and prepare the next generation of thought leaders.” He added.
We extend a hearty congratulations to Hopkins Opiyo and his team for pioneering this initiative and wish Bismarck Odawa, the current Chairperson and his Executive the very best in their leadership.
