We join our nation, and indeed the world, in mourning the passing of one of Africa’s greatest sons, the Right Honourable Raila Amolo Odinga.
A man who envisioned a Kenya founded on fairness, where every citizen has a place and every community a share.
His unrelenting advocacy for devolution reshaped our governance, ensuring that the promise of development reached the furthest corners of our country.
Today, the heartbeat of equity felt in our counties stands as a living monument to his vision and contribution.
Hon. Raila Odinga was a bridge-builder, a reconciler, and a statesman who often placed the nation’s peace above personal gain.
In his lifetime, he taught us that unity is not inherited, but built every day through understanding and forgiveness.
As we mourn, we also celebrate a dream that outlives him, a Kenya that is democratic, inclusive, and just.
To his family led by Mama Ida Odinga, and the entire Odinga family, we send our deepest sympathies. May you find strength even as you come to terms with this loss.
Farewell, Rt. Hon. Raila Amolo Odinga.
