PRESS RELEASE
1. The Board of Management of the Economics Students Association of Kenya hereby announce the appointment of the following members to serve in the KESA Executive Council for the 2026–2028 term.
2. Following a two month leadership selection process, the Board has now concluded its review and formally approved the individuals who will assume responsibility for the affairs of the association during the next two-year term.
3. The newly appointed Executive Council is drawn from member universities across the country and will provide leadership to the KESA fraternity during the 2026–2028 period.
4. Spencer Muhonja of Kenyatta University will serve as President. Kelvin Akiba kitsao of Kabarak University will serve as Deputy President, while Mark Gitau of Chuka University assumes the office of Secretary General.
5. Pelecia Anyango of Maseno University has been appointed Chief Financial Officer, and Sarah Sawadi of Maseno University will serve as Programmes and Public Relations Director.
6. Michael Awimbo of the University of Nairobi will serve as Organising and Legal Secretary. Moffat Njoroge Kiarii of Kenyatta University has been appointed Deputy Organising and Legal Secretary.
7. The Board congratulates the incoming Executive Council and acknowledges their readiness to take up leadership in service of the association and its members.
8. Members of the #KESA fraternity are encouraged to extend their full cooperation and support to the new leadership as they assume office and undertake the responsibilities of advancing the work and objectives of the association during the 2026–2028 term.
